Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Communitae uses on the communitae.ai web application (the “Service”), why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Communitae is operated by Communitae Solutions, S.L. (NIF B26895433), C/ Doctor Roux, n.º 36, 6º, 08017 Barcelona, Spain. Contact: [email protected].

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies allow the website to remember things about you between visits or while you navigate between pages — for example, that you are signed in or that you prefer English over Spanish. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) work the same way conceptually and are covered by this policy.

3. What cookies Communitae uses

We keep our cookie usage to a minimum. The full list:

NameTypePurposeDuration
Session cookie (NextAuth.js)Strictly necessaryKeeps you signed in between page loads after authentication. Without it, you could not use the application.Session, or up to 30 days if “Remember me” is selected
CSRF token (NextAuth.js)Strictly necessaryProtects against cross-site request forgery on authenticated requests.Session
Language preferenceFunctionalRemembers whether you chose English or Spanish in the language switcher, so we don’t ask again.1 year

We do not use:

  • Third-party advertising cookies.
  • Third-party analytics or tracking cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.).
  • Marketing or remarketing cookies.
  • Profiling cookies.

If we ever add an analytics or tracking technology, we will update this policy first and, where required by law, ask for your consent before activating it.

4. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies (sign-in session, CSRF token) do not require consent under Art. 22(2) of the e-Privacy Directive and the Spanish LSSI (Ley 34/2002), because they are essential for the Service you have requested. The language-preference cookie is also exempt as it is set in response to a deliberate user action and is not used for tracking.

5. How to control cookies

You can control or delete cookies via your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to Communitae. The Service will still load the public marketing pages.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our cookie usage changes. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes (for example, adding analytics cookies) will be announced via in-app notice or email at least 30 days before they take effect.
